Schoellhorn-Albrecht Builds Dock to Barge Ladder for Coal Plant

Schoellhorn-Albrecht completes design and manufacture of Dock to Barge Ladder for Cumberland Coal Plant.

The Ladder features a unique design specific to the Cumberland River dock. This system features a built in I-Beam track to move the ladder into operating and stowed position. Other ladder features include; an electric winch (attached to the platform frame), different access heights, heavy duty load capacity, self-leveling non-skid treads, a custom articulating stair trussel ladder with deck rollers and a rotating upper platform for 360° access and stowage.

The ladder is made from 6061 aluminum.

The ladder was manufactured and tested at Schoellhorn-Albrecht’s St. Louis facility and delivered in July 2020.
