Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed a contract to manufacture a Navmoor 18,000 lb mooring anchor for the Navy's oldest floating dry-dock.

The Capstans will operate on a USACE Crane Barge and feature 15HP Marine Duty electric motors, 18" diameter barrels and will generate 9,500 lbs of pull. The Capstans are designed to withstand a bollard load of 100,00 lbs.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed a contract to design and manufacture the replacement dredge head hoist for the United States Army Corps of Engineers Dredge Jadwin.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed a contract to manufacture a 23,300 lb AC-14 type Anchor for Military Sealift Command.  The anchor will serve on a Watson Class Vehicle Cargo Ship used for prepositioning of ground vehicles. 

Schoellhorn-Albrecht successfully completed design and manufacture of a 70’ long  x 3’ wide gangway for the reel laying vessel Seven Vega. 

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed manufacturing a feathering tread NAVSEA spec accommodation ladder for the USCGC Eagle. The 295’ vessel is used as a training cutter for future officers of the USCG.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed manufacturing of one (1) NAVSEA Accommodation Ladder for the USS Kearsarge.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht has successfully completed a Navy contract to manufacture and test ten (10) Pelican Hook Type Hi-Torque Chain Stopper assemblies. The Hi-Torque Chain Stopper assemblies were proof tested to 400,000 lbs and are rated for a SWL of 220,000 lbs.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed a contract to design and manufacture a Vertical Anchor Windlass and Thru Deck Capstan for St. Lawrence Seaways newest Ice Breaking Tug.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently delivered [1] Anchor Windlass suitable for use with 2" anchor chain, and [6] Mooring Winches for use with 7/8" to 1-1/8" Wire Rope, to be used on the Cleveland Rocks Conversion to a Self-Unloading Cement Carrier. The equipment was delivered in April of 2018.

Schoellhorn-Albrecht recently completed a contract to design and manufacture a Thru-Deck Vertical Capstan for the USACE Tug Gelberman. The Capstan was designed and manufactured to operate on the USACE pusher. The Capstan was designed to operate in a severe marine duty environment and is powered by a two speed 5 HP motor and has a bollard pull rating of 50,000 lbs.

St. Louis, MO February 27, 2018 - Schoellhorn-Albrecht has been awarded a subcontract from Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) for the design and manufacture of a wide variety of equipment for the U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutters (OPC).

The Schoellhorn-Albrecht Company in St. Louis, manufacturers of chocks and deck fittings, generously responded with an offer to donate six chocks to complete the repair project of the USS Slater.

The Vertical Anchor Windlass was designed to meet ABS requirements for 2" chain and features a 50 HP marine duty electric motor and brake. The new unit will generate 50,000 lbs. of continuous running pull at 25 FPM.

Recently the marine transportation company announced a contract for three ATB tugs to be built at the Conrad Orange Shipyard in Orange, Texas. Crew access to the barges will be facilitated by a Schoelhorn-Albrecht custom gangway.

A Safer Barge Ladder

In the 1940s, Pearl Harbor played a pivotal role as the Pacific base of naval operations during World War II, following the December 7 attack on the base. Today, it holds an even more exalted role as a national historic landmark, hosting more than 2 million visitors annually at the USS Arizona memorial of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
